This stereo recording was made on november 23, 2014 in brady, washington. The clip contains a union pacific freight train rolling at moderate speed through a rail crossing. As the train passes a crossing bell can be heard abruptly shutting off. This original recording was made using a zoom h-6 handy recorder with zoom stereo xy microphone. The track was edited in audacity 2. 0. 6. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the quality of my work and, if you choose to use this in a project, the end use you have in mind. .

This was a recording i have done when heading to an airline that will take me from bodrum to istanbul, turkey. Thought the engine of the bus worthed recording and found a quiet moment to do so. This has been recorded with an iphone 4s and has been edited with goldwave.

This is some background music i made in fl studio for a horror game i made. I thought that you could use it too. These recordings were made at the annual "tag der sachsen" (saxony fair) in freiberg. Recordings were done on the main market square (obermarkt), where a local radio station had set up a large stage for concerts and other events. Recording was done with a zoom h2, mics at 90° dispersion. This is the early morning after the event, at about 7. 30, stage hands are taking down the rigging, workers are clearing away trash and loading trucks. During the recording, someone starts working with a leaf blower.

Many find the sound of a prop-plane flying lazily very peaceful --- especially if it is a late summer day against a blue sky on the edge of a forest. Even though i was actually on an outing to record the birds of the deep forest in summer, this plane came right overhead and, well, here it is. The ocassional soft chirp of the birds adds a nice touch. Recorded with my zoom h4n recorder with the internal microphones set on an input volume of 75.

This recording was made on a warm, clear day in early june right on the sandy bank of the mississippi river -- between illinois and missouri. You hear the low, strong surge of the diesel engines as a barge slowly passes through and, what i find most enjoyable, you hear the gentle lapping of the river as the waves reach the sandy shore. You also hear various birds, including the common red-winged blackbird. Even though this recording was made around 3pm in the afternoon, you also hear a low chorus of insects adding to the relaxing summer-like ambience. A very peaceful, yet strong soundscape of a majestic natural wonder that’s been here for millennia. Recording made with the zoom h4n, using the built-in internal mics.

Besides being an inspiration since man first explored her, the ancient mississippi river is also a highway for many coal-carrying barges. For this recording my zoom h4n was on the soft, powdery sandy bank about 60 feet from the river…you hear the gentle, but powerful thrumming of the giant diesel engines as a huge, 200 foot barge passes by. Some notable natural sounds are a very clear red-wing blackbird at 20 seconds in, and again at one mine in and again at one-minute 13 seconds into it. You hear a wonderful, clear splash at 27 seconds into as well. Recording made around 4pm on a warm -- 80 degrees -- june day. Close your eyes, dig into the powdery, soft sand of the mississippi river bank and float away on a warm summer day.

Normalized to 0dbfs with spot noise removal on birds during the drive-by in rx5, tail left unprocessed. No other processing of any kind. This sound effect acts as a demonstration of this stereo pair mic combination right out of the box.

Captured this sound on my canon powershot a460 digital camera while traveling on a bus through glasgow scotland. The type of bus i was on was a single decker volvo, by first group, made by the famous wrightbus.
